About A&T Media

A&T Media was founded in 2021 by Malak Fouad. The company specialises in the creation of audio content, in the form of podcasts.

With an emphasis on high-quality production values, A&T Media is developing podcasts that are intellectually rigorous, attracting high calibre guests as well as a select audience across the Middle East region and beyond. It is home to What I Did Next, one of Apple Podcasts' Best Shows of 2021 and 2022, with Malak Fouad as the host.

Malak Fouad

Malak is a communications specialist who has worked across a wide spectrum of the industry. Starting in journalism in the mid 1990’s in New York, Cairo and London, Malak worked for both national newspapers as well as glossy magazines. She worked for CondéNast publications, Punch Magazine, The Daily Mail newspaper and the Ahram Hebdo weekly newspaper.

In the early 2000’s she moved into media consultancy and public relations. In London Malak was with Magid Inc, advising banks on investments in the nascent Internet industry. Upon moving to Cairo in 2001, Malak joined Weber Shandwick Promoseven PR.

Additionally, Malak manages a family fund, the Nadia Younes Memorial Fund, dedicated to her late aunt. This fund is housed at the American University in Cairo (AUC) and has been hosting an annual lecture series since 2004 that welcomes VIP speakers from the world of current affairs.

Malak Fouad received a B.A. (with Honours) in International Relations with French from the University of Kent at Canterbury in the United Kingdom in 1995 and an M.A. in Global Affairs from AUC in Egypt in 2020.

Malak speaks English, French and Arabic.
