Came across this podcast coincidentally and was pleasantly surprised. Malak asks the right questions and brings on inspiring guests. Would love if the episode was longer but all in all, a great show! Thank you for surfacing motivational voices in the region doing incredible things!

I am new to this podcast. I looked for a podcast with Tim Marshall as I am currently really enjoying one of his books.

The interview drew out Tim’s humour and was a really interesting conversation which really gave me a sense of the man, his personal journey into journalism and what he is interested in.

Brilliant!

This has been a long time coming but it took that long for me to realise how much a space ‘What I Did Next’ has filled in the literary and journalistic scene. I loved it at first listen and it went to the top of my favourite list of what to listen to next.

Malak Fouad has very successfully put together a programme that is a bit Desert Island Discs, a bit The Penguin Podcast, a bit history, social culture, business…within an Egyptian and Middle Eastern context that is close to one’s heart. And with a very personal twist…every episode.

Can’t recommend this enough. Gives me faith and hope in the future of Egypt, my country which I love but chose to leave in 2014. Can’t wait for more episodes.

“What I did next!” sheds light on some of the great minds behind economic growth in Egypt. If you want to learn very quickly what’s happening in Egypt now, what are some movers and shakers thinking, doing, and planning, then this is the podcast for you!
