My guest today is Ayman Tamer, Chairman of the Tamer Group, a third-generation business with a 100-year history in Saudi Arabia. Ayman’s grandfather opened the first pharmacy in the Arab peninsula in 1922 and it has evolved into one of the largest healthcare companies in the region today, with over $2.5 billion in revenue.
Ayman tells me about his own journey within the context of the family business, from going to boarding school at the tender age of six to returning to Saudi Arabia in 1985.
Its clear from our conversation that for Ayman, family is everything and family weaves through the company, and is its heart and soul. We talk in great detail the growth of his family business alongside the development of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, especially in the context of Vision 2030.
